The director of DELTA, professor Jari Nurmi from Tampere University commented: “I am extremely happy about the outcome of the school. The USWA project provided a comprehensive and insightful overview of the DECT-2020 technology and its versatile application areas. The doctoral students had the opportunity to discuss with the experts from the project and get also some hands-on experience on working with the real devices to build a DECT-2020 NR network.”

The USWA organiser of this event, Staff Scientist Joonas Säe from Tampere University, also commented: “This event was a nice way to collaborate with the doctoral students and to bring forward the work that has been done in the USWA project. In total, there were 28 participants in the Winter School.” He also continued: “To lighten the intensive program, the students had the chance to go skiing during the extended lunch breaks and also enjoy the beautiful winter of the Northern Finland.”
